The heart behind Moda.

Moda Salon was built by Kris and Chantelle Donoghue in 2010 with a shared love for hair, people, and creating an experience that felt different from the start.

Kris brought the craft — the technique, education, and passion for beautiful hair. Chantelle brought the vision — the client experience, business care, and heart behind the brand.

What started in Courtice has grown into a Moda family in Bowmanville and online — bringing salon-level expertise, professional products, and honest hair advice to clients wherever they are.

Moda Begins

Kris and Chantelle opened Moda Salon in Courtice with a goal to create a salon where clients felt relaxed, cared for, and confident.

From the beginning, Moda has been rooted in strong technique, ongoing education, and a belief that hairdressing is a craft worth refining.
A New Chapter

Growing in Bowmanville

As their family and team grew, Moda evolved into its Bowmanville home — continuing to serve clients with the same care, honesty, and attention to detail.
2020

Moda Salon Shop Is Born

When the pandemic changed everything, Chantelle launched Moda Salon Shop to bring professional salon products and real stylist guidance directly to clients at home.
2025

Highest-Level Brand Recognition

Moda was recognized as a Davines Titanium Salon and KEVIN.MURPHY White Heaven Salon — the highest level of recognition with both brands.
