Reset Pink Charcoal Scalp Cleansing Oil is the most intensive step in the Reset detox system. Applied to dry hair before shampooing, it acts as a scalp pre-cleanse — the oil dissolves and lifts product buildup, excess sebum, and impurities from the scalp so that the clarifying shampoo that follows can cleanse more deeply. Pink charcoal draws out additional impurities. Together, the oil cleanse + Reset Shampoo delivers the most thorough scalp detox in the range.

No — the Reset Clarifying Shampoo works on its own for a standard monthly scalp cleanse. The Pink Charcoal Oil is the optional deeper step for stubborn or heavy buildup, or for those who want the most complete scalp detox possible.
Only if not properly emulsified and shampooed out. Apply to dry scalp, leave 3-5 minutes, then add water and massage with wet hands to emulsify before shampooing. The clarifying shampoo removes the oil completely.
Dry hair allows the oil to penetrate and dissolve scalp buildup directly. Wet scalp creates a water barrier that prevents oil penetration. Applying to dry hair is the key step that makes the oil pre-cleanse genuinely effective.
Apply it to the scalp, not the lengths, so colour impact is minimal. The clarifying shampoo that follows is the step to be mindful of for colour-treated hair — limit to monthly use.
3-5 minutes is sufficient for most scalp types. For very stubborn buildup, up to 10 minutes. Apply, leave on while you finish getting ready, then step in the shower.
