Velveteen Dream Balm is the pre-blowout step in the frizz control system. Applied to damp hair before blow-drying, it protects against heat and actively smooths the cuticle during drying — so the finished style is sleeker and more humidity-resistant than from shampoo and conditioner alone. It provides hold as well as smoothness, making it the most useful prep step for a full blowout on frizzy hair. Add The Shield over the top on high-humidity days for a layered barrier.
