Conditioning agents and frizz-fighting actives soften and detangle while sealing the cuticle more tightly than a standard conditioner, reducing the porosity that allows humidity in and frizz to happen. Hair leaves the shower noticeably smoother, and that smoothness is more humidity-resistant than it would be from a regular conditioner.
