A purple toning shampoo with bond repair actives — neutralises brassiness and warmth in blonde, highlighted, and grey hair while strengthening the hair shaft from within.

What It Is

Bust Your Brass does two things at once: it tones and it repairs. The purple pigment neutralises yellow and orange tones that develop in blonde and highlighted hair between salon visits, while the Kure bond repair actives address the structural damage that lightening causes. Most toning shampoos do one or the other. This one does both.

Use it 1–2 times per week in place of your regular shampoo for tone maintenance. Leave it on for 3–5 minutes for more intensive toning, or rinse quickly for a lighter touch.

Pro Tip

1-2 minutes for subtle toning. 3-5 minutes for a visibly cooler blonde result. If your hair is particularly yellow or you want a more icy finish, up to 10 minutes. Rinse as soon as you reach your target tone — the longer it sits, the more violet deposits.
We wouldn’t recommend it — daily use can over-deposit violet and turn blonde hair grey or lavender. 1-2x per week is ideal for most blondes. Use your regular shampoo on other wash days.
Yes — grey hair often yellows over time and responds well to purple toning. The bond repair actives are an added benefit for grey hair that has become coarser or more porous with age.
The shampoo is for 1-2x weekly cleansing with regular toning maintenance. The Mask has more concentrated pigment and bond repair actives — it’s the weekly deep session for more intensive toning and repair in one application.
It can if left on too long or used too frequently. Very pale or platinum blonde hair is most susceptible. Start with 1-2 minutes and build up — if you notice a violet cast developing, reduce contact time or frequency.
