A colour-depositing conditioner that refreshes caramel tone, adds warmth and dimension, and leaves hair soft and glossy — all in the time it takes to condition.
The Moda Team Review
Caramel is one of the most versatile shades in the Fabuloso line because caramel tone is one of the most common things clients lose between appointments. It is not dramatic colour that fades — it is warmth, richness and dimension that quietly disappear over a few weeks, leaving hair looking flat and one-dimensional rather than intentional. Fabuloso Caramel is the product that puts that back.
The formula deposits warm, golden-brown pigment directly onto the hair shaft with each conditioning wash. The intensity is time-dependent — two to three minutes gives a soft refresh, longer gives a deeper deposit. We use it for clients with balayage, highlights, or any service where warm caramel tones are part of the result, and it genuinely extends how long that warmth looks fresh rather than faded. The conditioner base is properly conditioning too — hair comes out soft, the cuticle sits flat, and the tone reads glossy rather than flat or stained.
The key distinction with Caramel versus some of the other Fabuloso shades: this is a tone-enhancing product, not a toning-down product. If your hair goes brassy in a way you dislike, Caramel is not the right choice — that is what Platinum Blonde or Light Beige are for. Caramel is for the client who wants more warmth, not less, and who wants their colour to look rich and multi-dimensional between visits.
Why Moda Carries This
EVO built Fabuloso on the premise that colour maintenance should be part of your conditioning routine, not a separate step. The formula is highly concentrated and free from unnecessary fillers — professional-grade pigment in a real conditioning base. We carry Caramel because a significant portion of the colour work we do — balayage, lived-in brunettes, warm blondes, copper fades — is built on exactly the tones this shade supports.
Key Active Ingredient(s)
-
Direct dye pigments (warm/golden-brown tone): Deposit warm caramel pigment onto the hair cuticle with each application. Intensity is time-dependent — longer processing equals more visible tone shift.
-
Conditioning agents: Smooth the cuticle and add softness during processing so hair does not feel stripped or dry after toning.
Moda Pro Tip
Apply Fabuloso Caramel to damp (not soaking wet) hair before stepping into the shower — the pigment grabs more evenly and intensely without water diluting it. This is especially useful for caramel tones, where even, all-over warmth looks intentional and patchy deposit looks muddy. Start at two minutes, rinse, and assess in natural light once dry before deciding whether to go longer next wash.
Not the Right Fit If...
Not the right choice if you want to neutralise warmth or brassiness — Caramel adds warm pigment, it does not cancel it. If your colour is going too brassy or yellow and you want it cooler, look at Fabuloso Platinum Blonde or Light Beige instead. Not suitable for naturally dark hair with no lightening, where the pigment will not show.
How To Use
- Shampoo as normal and squeeze out excess water.
- Apply Fabuloso Caramel evenly through mid-lengths and ends.
- Leave for 2–5 minutes depending on how much tone you want (start short on first use).
- Rinse thoroughly. Use gloves if your hands are fair.
