A curl balm that delivers rich definition, slip and frizz control for medium to thick curls and waves — the heavier of EVO’s two curl definers for patterns that need more hold and moisture.
Liquid Rollers is where we go when a curl client’s pattern needs more substance than a light cream can give. The balm formula has more slip and a richer conditioning base than Total Recoil — which makes it the right choice for medium to thick curl types, drier curl patterns, or anyone whose curls consistently look better with more product rather than less.
Applied on soaking wet hair, it distributes smoothly through the curl pattern and gives the hair the moisture and definition it needs to set well during drying. The hold is more substantial than Total Recoil but still flexible — curls do not end up with a stiff cast. They end up defined, glossy and separated with a bounciness that looks like the pattern is behaving naturally rather than being shaped by product.
We also use Liquid Rollers for clients with wavy hair who want to push their wave toward more defined curl. The balm formula provides more encouragement to the pattern than a lighter product would — it gives the hair enough slip and weight to coil more tightly and hold that coil through drying. Combined with a diffuser and the scrunch-and-hold technique, many naturally wavy clients see significantly more defined waves with Liquid Rollers than they have ever achieved before.
EVO built Liquid Rollers for the curl client who needs more from their definer — more slip for easier distribution, more conditioning for drier patterns, more hold for thicker textures. We carry it because it sits at exactly the right point on the spectrum for the clients who find lighter products insufficient.
Apply Liquid Rollers on dripping wet hair in sections. The more saturated the hair, the more evenly the balm distributes and the tighter the curl will set. Smooth each section downward first, then scrunch upward. If you diffuse, hold the diffuser still under each section rather than moving it through the hair — motion during drying disrupts the curl pattern before it has set. If the finish is too heavy once dry, scrunch out excess with a microfibre towel and note the quantity for next time. Start with less than you think you need.
Not the right choice for fine or looser curl patterns where a lighter product would give more lift and less weight — Total Recoil is better suited. Liquid Rollers is for medium to thick curl types and drier patterns that need the extra conditioning and hold the balm provides.
