Why we like it
The Moda Team Review
If your hair is doing this — your hair feels dry, rough or sun-exposed, and your usual routine is not giving it enough comfort — SU Hair Milk is the Davines step I would talk through with you. It gives a softer, replenished feel after sun exposure while keeping the finish hydrated, fresh and summer-ready.

The client who had their balayage done in June and is heading on holiday in July. Their colour is fresh, their hair is in good condition. The SU Hair Milk is what keeps it that way — applied every morning before going into the sun, the UV filters protect the colour investment they made at the salon. Davines built the SU Milk around the principle that summer should not cost you your hair condition. The Clementine Peel Extract is Regenerative Organic Certified™ — Davines can name the farm, the person, and the region. That specificity is exactly the kind of supply chain transparency that reflects Moda’s values in a brand partner.

How to use
Use it the way we would.
- Apply SU Hair Milk through damp mid-lengths and ends before styling. If your hair is fine, use less than you think and keep it away from the root. If your hair is thick or dry, add a little more through the areas that feel rough or frizzy.
Moda stylist tipApply to damp hair before air-drying on beach and pool days. The leave-in conditioning and the UV protection happen simultaneously with the drying that is going to happen anyway — you are not adding a step, you are doing two things at once. On particularly hot days, apply a second coat to dry hair before going back into the sun for continued UV protection through the afternoon.

Questions? We get them.
Good to know.
The questions we hear most about this product. If yours isn’t here, a real stylist will answer.
Ask ModaDo I apply the Davines SU Hair Milk before going in the sun, after, or both?
Yes, both. Before sun exposure, apply to damp or dry hair as a UV protective shield — this is the most effective use. After sun exposure, apply to towel-dried hair after washing with SU Hair & Body Wash as a leave-in conditioning treatment. Using it proactively every morning through summer produces significantly better seasonal results than reactive use alone.
I have fine hair that goes flat easily. Will the Davines SU Hair Milk add weight or make my roots look greasy?
No. The formula is genuinely lightweight — it applies as a fine mist and leaves no residue on fine hair when applied from mid-lengths to ends. Keep it off the scalp and roots entirely. A small amount distributed with a comb through the mid-lengths is enough for effective UV protection without any flattening effect.
I just had my colour done at Moda. Will the Davines SU Hair Milk actually help protect it from fading in the sun this summer?
Yes. UV exposure is one of the primary causes of colour fade between appointments — UV-A rays penetrate the hair cortex and break down colour molecules over time. The SU Hair Milk’s UV-A and UV-B filters create a protective layer that reduces this damage. Consistent daily application through the summer is the most practical way to maintain the colour result from your service.
Can I use the Davines SU Hair Milk as a heat protectant before blow-drying, or is it only for sun protection?
Yes. The SU Hair Milk includes heat protection up to 230°C (446°F) alongside its UV filters, so it functions as both. Apply to towel-dried hair before blow-drying as you would any heat protectant. Through summer, it covers both the blow-dry and the subsequent sun exposure in a single product.
I already use the OI All In One Milk as my daily leave-in. Should I switch to the SU Hair Milk for summer, or use both?
Yes, you can use both — they serve different purposes. The OI Milk delivers Roucou Oil shine and detangling benefits. The SU Milk adds UV and heat protection specific to sun exposure. For summer, apply the SU Milk first as a UV shield and follow with a small amount of OI Milk for shine if needed, or simply switch to the SU Milk entirely through the sunny months.
