The Parlux Advance sits between the Alyon and the Digitalyon in the Parlux line-up — same 1875W Canadian spec, same professional build quality, same Made in Italy standard, with the K-Advance® motor (versus the K-Advance Plus® in the Alyon and the digital E-Lyon® in the Digitalyon). The practical difference is the motor generation and lifespan rating: 2,500 hours versus the Alyon's 3,000 hours, with slightly less airflow at 83 m³/h versus 84 m³/h.

What the Advance does have that the Alyon does not is an incorporated silencer built directly into the body — it runs quieter out of the box without needing a separate Melody Silencer accessory. The ionic and ceramic technology combination produces smooth, static-free results with consistent heat distribution across the airflow.

For clients who want a professional Parlux at a slightly lower price point than the Alyon, the Advance is the honest answer.

The Advance is compatible with the Parlux Magic Sense Diffuser and the Parlux Alyon/Advance Diffuser for curly and wavy styling. The incorporated silencer means you do not need to purchase the My Melody Silencer separately if quiet operation is a priority. Use the cold shot button after each dried section to lock the cuticle and hold shine.

How To Use

  1. Section hair and work through each section with the concentrator nozzle parallel to the shaft.
  2. Use 4 temperature settings to match your hair type — lower for fine hair, higher for thick or coarse.
  3. Finish each section with the cold shot button to set the cuticle.
  4. Clean the rear filter regularly to maintain airflow.

No — the HFS is a feature of the Alyon and Digitalyon. The Advance has a standard rear filter that should be cleaned regularly to maintain airflow and motor performance, but it does not have the patented Hair Free System device. Clean the rear filter every few uses to keep airflow efficient.
No — the incorporated silencer reduces motor noise at the intake without restricting airflow or drying time. The Advance dries at the same speed as the motor and wattage rating allow — the silencer is noise reduction only, not a performance trade-off.
The Parlux Magic Sense Diffuser With Adapter is compatible with the Advance. The MagicCompact® Diffuser is designed for the ELYSIUM only and is not compatible. Check compatibility of the Alyon Light Diffuser before purchasing — it is designed for the Alyon and compatibility with the Advance should be confirmed.
