How to use

Yes — Cezanne confirms it is safe for use on both keratin-treated and non-keratin-treated hair. The formula is sodium chloride-free, which is the critical factor for treated hair. Sodium chloride is one of the primary ingredients that strips smoothing treatment results; this formula excludes it.
How often should I use Clarifying Shampoo?
No — not as a daily shampoo. Cezanne positions it as a use-as-needed reset, not a routine wash. If you use dry shampoo, hairspray or styling products regularly, a clarifying wash once a week or every couple of weeks makes sense. If your hair is clean and not feeling coated, return to Perfect Moisture Shampoo.
Do I need to follow Clarifying Shampoo with a conditioner?
Yes — always. Clarifying Shampoo deep-cleanses the hair and scalp, which means it removes natural oils and softness alongside buildup. Following with Perfect Moisture Conditioner or another hydrating conditioner is essential to restore the moisture balance after the reset cleanse.
Is Clarifying Shampoo the same shampoo used before Cezanne treatments at the salon?
Yes — Cezanne Clarifying Shampoo is used by certified salons to prep the hair before every keratin smoothing treatment. It opens the cuticle and strips buildup so the treatment can penetrate properly. The professional and retail formulas are the same product.
Can I use Clarifying Shampoo on colour-treated hair?
Yes — with appropriate frequency. Any clarifying shampoo will affect colour if used too often. For colour-treated hair, use Clarifying Shampoo only when buildup genuinely needs clearing, then return to Perfect Moisture Shampoo for daily care. The formula is sodium chloride-free which protects keratin-treated hair, but the surfactant system is stronger than a daily shampoo.
