No — it’s a leave-in. Apply post-wash and style as usual. Rinsing it out removes the anti-frizz benefit.
Should I use Frizz-Me-Not or Smooth Over?
Frizz-Me-Not is a leave-in applied and left in post-wash — lighter, no extra timing, fine hair-friendly. Smooth Over is a rinse-out treatment left for 5-10 minutes — more concentrated, better for thick or very frizzy hair. If you prefer not to have a treatment step in the shower, Frizz-Me-Not is simpler.
How is Frizz-Me-Not different from The Shield Anti-Humidity Spray?
Yes — Frizz-Me-Not is a post-wash leave-in treatment applied to damp hair for moisture and frizz control. The Shield is a post-styling barrier spray applied to dry hair to block atmospheric moisture. They address different steps: Frizz-Me-Not in the shower routine, The Shield as the final finishing protection.
Can I use Frizz-Me-Not with any shampoo, or does it have to be from the Velveteen Dream system?
Yes — Frizz-Me-Not is compatible with any shampoo. It's shared across both the Velveteen Dream and Forget Frizz systems. If your current shampoo is working, adding Frizz-Me-Not post-wash extends the frizz control through the week.
Is Frizz-Me-Not suitable for colour-treated frizzy hair?
Yes — colour-safe. Colour-treated hair that is also frizzy is one of the most common combinations Frizz-Me-Not is designed for.
