What It Is

Midnight Mender is the overnight step in Amika’s Kure repair system. Applied to dry hair before bed and left in through the night, it gives the bond repair actives hours of uninterrupted contact time rather than the few minutes available in a rinse-out product. For hair that is significantly compromised — over-bleached, repeated colour, years of heat damage — this extended exposure is what finally starts to move the needle on repair that rinse-out products alone can’t fully reach.

It’s lightweight enough to not ruin your pillowcase or leave hair feeling product-heavy in the morning. Apply to damp or dry ends and mid-lengths, sleep, wake up, and style as usual.

No — it’s a leave-in treatment. Apply before bed, sleep in it, and style as usual in the morning. The whole point is the overnight contact time.
Not if applied correctly — mid-lengths to ends only, a moderate amount, worked in thoroughly. The formula is specifically designed to absorb into the hair shaft rather than sit on the surface. A silk pillowcase is a good addition for protecting hair and pillowcase alike.
For actively damaged hair in a repair phase, 3–4 nights per week is effective. For maintenance, 1–2 nights per week is sufficient. It can be used nightly for severely compromised hair.
You can, but it’s better used on non-wash nights. On wash nights, use The Kure Intense Mask in the shower for the deep repair session. Midnight Mender is most valuable between wash days when no other repair step is happening.
