Processing time is critical with Volcanic Ash — more so than with warm-toned masks where a bit of extra time adds richness. Here, extra time on already cool or ashy hair can push things too far. Start with 5 minutes on first use, assess, and work up from there. On warm, red-toned hair that needs more correction, 10 minutes is appropriate. Never exceed 15 minutes, and avoid using this mask on hair that's already cool-toned or recently had a cool gloss service.
