Yes — 1 to 3 minutes depending on how much toning your hair needs. Start at 1 minute if your hair is fine or porous, or if you are trying the shampoo for the first time. Work up to 3 minutes if your hair is resistant to toning. Rinse very well after any contact time.
Can I use Ultimate Blonde Shampoo every wash?
No — not unless your hair genuinely needs that much toning every wash. Cezanne and our team both recommend alternating with Perfect Moisture Shampoo when your blonde is already looking cool. Over-toning turns blonde dull, smoky or blue. Toning shampoo is a when-needed tool, not a default.
Does Ultimate Blonde Shampoo work on grey hair?
Yes — violet toning shampoo works on grey and white hair just as well as on bleached blonde. Grey and white hair can develop a yellow cast from minerals, sun exposure and pollutants. The blue-violet pigment neutralises that warmth and maintains a brighter, cooler finish.
My blonde has gone blue. What do I do?
No — do not use the violet shampoo again until the blue fades. Switch to Perfect Moisture Shampoo for your next several washes, shorten your contact time when you return to the toning shampoo, and consider alternating it with Perfect Moisture Shampoo rather than using it every wash.
