Silicones coat the hair shaft to add smoothness and shine — which works well on thicker hair but builds up on fine hair over time, progressively weighing it down and flattening root volume. Can I use Hydrate Sheer every day on fine colour-treated hair?
Yes — the ZeroSulfate® formula is gentle enough for daily use. Fine colour-treated hair that washes frequently benefits from daily conditioning with a lightweight formula more than from less frequent washing with a heavier one.
How long should I leave the Hydrate Sheer Conditioner in?
One to two minutes, mid-lengths to ends only. The formula is calibrated for fast delivery on fine hair — a longer contact time doesn't improve the result and risks creating flatness if the product migrates toward the root.
What should I use after the Hydrate Sheer system?
The Color Fanatic Multi-Tasking Leave-In Spray on damp hair — lightweight enough for fine hair, with heat protection to 450°F and 21 benefits including detangling and colour care. For volume, add the On The Rise Root-Lifting Mousse or Instant Levitation Mist to damp roots before blow-drying.
