Lockdown is the intensive step in EVO’s smoothing line. Where Mane Tamer Shampoo and Conditioner reduce humidity reactivity at the wash step and Easy Tiger controls frizz through blow-drying, Lockdown delivers a concentrated dose of smoothing agents directly to the hair shaft in a weekly treatment format — deepening the cuticle smoothing that everyday products maintain.
The formula is richer than the Mane Tamer Conditioner and contains a higher concentration of smoothing polymers that penetrate the cuticle more thoroughly in a single application. Hair comes out of a Lockdown treatment noticeably smoother, flatter at the surface and significantly more resistant to humidity than after a standard conditioning wash. For clients who have been using the Mane Tamer system and still find their blowout undone by the first humid day, adding Lockdown once a week is almost always the missing step.
It also works as a conditioning treatment for dry, coarse or chemically treated hair where both smoothness and moisture are needed simultaneously. The formula is rich enough to give real moisture alongside the smoothing benefit — hair comes out soft and polished rather than smooth but dry.

Apply Lockdown to warm, damp hair after shampooing, cover with a shower cap and leave for five to seven minutes. The shower heat opens the cuticle and allows the smoothing polymers to penetrate more deeply. Rinse with cool water to close the cuticle around them. Blow-dry with Easy Tiger and a brush immediately after rinsing for the smoothest possible result.
Not the Right Fit If...
Not a daily conditioner — the richness and polymer concentration used every wash can cause heaviness on fine or medium hair. Once a week in place of Mane Tamer Conditioner is the right frequency. How To Use
- After shampooing, squeeze out excess water.
- Apply Lockdown from mid-lengths to ends in place of conditioner.
- Cover with a shower cap and leave for 5–7 minutes.
