The shampoo won't give you the dramatic shift of the mask, but it keeps the tone dialled in between those deeper treatments — which is the whole point of a two-step toning system. Every wash is quietly working to stop yellow from creeping back in.
Where a lot of purple shampoos leave hair feeling stripped, Cromearth's formula is built on a conditioning base that leaves hair feeling clean but not compromised. Moda Pro Tip
Don't rush the rinse. Apply the shampoo, work it into a lather, then leave it on for two to three minutes before rinsing — not thirty seconds. That contact time is when the pigment deposits. If you rinse immediately, you're getting the cleanse but very little of the toning benefit. For a more intense result on the same wash, follow with the Earth Moon Mask and leave that on for 10 minutes.
Not the Right Fit If...
If your primary concern is orange or red tones rather than yellow, Earth Moon Shampoo won't correct that — the violet pigment works on yellow, not warm orange. Reach for the RICA Cromearth Blue Marine Mask instead. If you want a shampoo with no pigment at all — just colour protection and conditioning — the RICA Cromearth Natural Shampoo is the better choice.
