A warm terracotta-pigmented Cromearth mask that revives honey blonde highlights, mèches, and colour from dark blonde through to brown — restoring warmth, depth, and shine between appointments.
The Moda Team Review
Terra Cotta lives in the space between blonde and brunette — which is exactly where most of our clients live. Honey balayage, caramel highlights, warm mèches through brunette hair, chestnut colour that's faded to something flat and in-between. This mask deposits a warm, terracotta-toned pigment that reads as depth and warmth on darker bases, not brassiness. It's the difference between "my colour looks faded" and "my colour looks rich."
What makes Terra Cotta interesting is its versatility. On light blonde, it can shift things more noticeably warm. On a medium or dark brunette base, it just deepens and warms what's already there. The pigment is rich but it's not heavy — it won't pull dark on hair that's already deep. It's fundamentally a colour-revival mask, not a colour change.
Processing time matters here as it does throughout the Cromearth line. Five minutes refreshes; ten gives you a more pronounced warm depth. On very dark brunette hair, the effect is subtle but real — a visible richness that wasn't there before, like your colour caught the light differently.
Why Moda Carries This
The Cromearth range gives us a colour-refresh option for every client, not just blondes — and Terra Cotta is the mask that covers the largest demographic in our chair. Most of our clients are somewhere in the honey-to-brunette range. Having a professional-grade mineral pigment mask they can use at home to maintain that warmth between visits means fewer "my colour looks dull" calls and better results at their next appointment.
Key Active Ingredients
-
Natural Mineral Pigments (terracotta/warm orange-brown): Earth-derived warm pigments that deposit depth, warmth, and richness on honey blonde through brunette hair without pulling orange or red.
-
Restructuring Complex: Conditions and rebuilds hair's internal structure while the pigment processes, leaving colour-treated hair softer and more manageable.
Moda Pro Tip
Apply to towel-dried hair and start at the ends — the oldest, most faded part of the hair shaft. Work toward the roots and apply there last, for less time. The roots are almost always naturally warmer and won't need as much correction. For clients with very light honey blonde, check colour at the 5-minute mark before going to ten — the pigment is rich enough to shift lighter hair noticeably.
Not the Right Fit If...
If your base is very dark brown or black, the pigment deposit from Terra Cotta likely won't be visible. For deep brunette wanting warmth and shine, the RICA Cromearth Burnt Umber Mask is better suited to your base. If your hair is light blonde and you want a golden boost rather than a warm-brown depth, the RICA Cromearth Yellow Ocher Mask is the better choice.
How To Use
- Shampoo and towel-dry thoroughly.
- Apply Terra Cotta Mask from ends to mid-lengths, then roots last.
- Leave on 5–10 minutes depending on desired depth and warmth.

- Style as usual — follow with a finishing oil for maximum richness.
