Apply to towel-dried hair — not soaking wet, not fully dry. The leave-in needs the hair to be damp enough for the treatment actives to distribute and penetrate the cuticle before it closes as the hair dries. Too wet and it dilutes immediately; too dry and it cannot penetrate. Towel-dry, apply, comb through with a wide-tooth comb, then style. If you are blow-drying, this goes on before the Heated Defense heat protectant.
