An antioxidant-rich curl defining crème for medium to coarse curly or wavy hair that delivers structured definition, frizz control and flexible hold — for styles that need shape and staying power through the day.
The Moda Team Review
Killer Curls cream is the stronger-hold sibling to Killer Twirls. Where Twirls is an air-dry leave-in for soft, effortless results, Killer Curls cream is for curl types that need more structure — medium to coarse textures, diffused styles, or anyone whose curls need to hold their shape through humidity, activity or a long day without refreshing. The Australian Fruit Extracts, Aloe Vera and Baobab Seed Oil deliver moisture, elasticity and slip during application. The hold comes from the cream base, which forms a soft-flexible cast as the curl dries that maintains shape without crunch when distributed correctly.
This is the product that gives a curl client control. Twirls is effortless. Killer Curls is deliberate. Applied to soaking wet hair in sections, scrunched and diffused or left to air-dry with a longer leave time, it produces defined, shaped curls that stay put. It can be layered over Killer Twirls for a moisture-under-structure system, or used alone when definition is the primary goal.
Why Moda Carries This
As a White Haven Kevin Murphy salon, we carry the full Killer Curls system because curl clients need options across the hold spectrum. Killer Curls cream fills the gap between a soft leave-in and a gel — it gives structure and definition without the crunch or buildup a gel can leave behind. Kevin Murphy’s ingredient standards mean the hold ingredients are paired with actives that keep the curl moisturised and resilient, not just shaped.
Key Active Ingredients
-
Australian Fruit Extracts: A complex of antioxidant-rich native Australian botanicals that protect the curl fibre from environmental stressors during and after styling.
-
Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis): Delivers lightweight moisture, promotes elasticity and adds slip for application without friction.
-
Baobab Seed Oil (Adansonia Digitata): Rich in Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids that penetrate the cortex to maintain softness and prevent the brittleness that makes curls snap during manipulation.
Moda Pro Tip
Apply to soaking wet hair in sections — rake through with fingers from root to tip, then scrunch upward. If diffusing, use the diffuser bowl held still over each section without moving it, on medium heat, for thirty seconds per section before moving. Moving the diffuser creates friction and frizz. If air-drying, scrunch and leave completely alone. Scrunch out the cast with dry palms once one hundred percent dry to release soft, defined curls.
Not the Right Fit If...
Not the best choice for fine wavy hair that goes flat easily — the cream base is richer than fine hair typically needs and may weigh the wave down. For fine wavy hair, Killer Waves is the lighter-weight alternative, or Killer Twirls used sparingly. For coily hair that needs maximum hold and definition, layering Killer Curls cream with a gel styler is an option — but start with the cream alone to test the hold level first.
How To Use
- Apply to soaking wet hair after conditioning, section by section.
- Rake through from root to tip, then scrunch upward to form curls.
- Air-dry completely without touching, or diffuse on medium heat, holding the diffuser still.
- Once one hundred percent dry, scrunch with dry palms to release soft definition.
