Top Coat + Tone Blue is the at-home toning tool for brunette, chestnut and dark colour-treated clients whose colour has shifted warm or coppery since their last appointment. Blue cancels orange on the colour wheel — the same principle a professional toner uses in the salon, delivered in a gloss format the client can use at home in five minutes. The Camelina Seed Oil, Olive Oil, and Oat Milk base conditions and nourishes as the toner processes, meaning a conditioner step is optional after rinsing. Results last up to 8 washes. Available 200 ml. For blonde and lightened hair with yellow brassiness, use Top Coat + Tone Purple instead.

  • Blue pigment deposit: Targets and neutralises orange and copper warmth using colour-wheel principles.
  • Camelina Seed Oil, Olive Oil and Oat Milk: Condition and nourish the hair during processing, leaving it soft and silky. A conditioner step is optional after rinsing.

How To Use

  1. Apply to clean, damp hair after shampooing.
  2. Leave 5–10 minutes depending on desired tone intensity.
  3. Rinse thoroughly. Condition only if needed.

5–10 minutes. Do a test strand first to see how much toning you get at 5 minutes vs 10 minutes on your hair. More porous hair tones more quickly.
Yes — formulated for colour-treated hair with the Antifade Complex® for colour protection. The conditioning base of Camelina Oil, Olive Oil, and Oat Milk nourishes hair during processing.
As needed — typically every 3–8 washes depending on how quickly warmth returns and your personal preference. Use it when you notice the colour looking more warm or coppery than you'd like.
Apply after shampooing with your regular Pureology shampoo and rinsing. After rinsing out the Top Coat, follow with the Color Fanatic Multi-Tasking Leave-In Spray for heat protection, detangling, and ongoing colour care.
