How to use
- KILLER.CURLS WASH: Apply to wet hair, massage gently at scalp and through lengths, rinse.
- KILLER.CURLS RINSE: Squeeze excess water, apply mid-lengths to ends, leave 2 minutes, cool rinse.
- KILLER.CURLS cream: Apply immediately to soaking wet hair section by section. Scrunch upward. Do not rinse. Air-dry completely undisturbed, or diffuse on low heat. Scrunch with dry palms once 100% dry.

Do not touch while drying — any disturbance breaks the curl shape forming inside the cream. Scrunch gently with dry palms once 100% dry to release definition. For diffusing: flip hair forward over the diffuser bowl and pulse-diffuse rather than moving continuously.

The KILLER.TWIRLS trio is the air-dry only version — KILLER.TWIRLS is specifically formulated as an air-dry curl crème and is not designed for diffusing or heat styling. The CAPTIVATING CURLS Trio uses KILLER.CURLS cream instead, which provides heat protection to 420°F / 216°C and works for both air-drying and diffusing. If you exclusively air-dry, either will work. If you ever diffuse or want the flexibility of both methods from the same product, this trio is the right choice.
Why do I apply KILLER.CURLS cream to soaking wet hair?
The water acts as a carrier that helps the cream distribute evenly throughout every strand and into the centre of each curl rather than just coating the surface. Applying to towel-blotted damp hair means the cream sits on the outside of drier hair and produces less even definition. Apply immediately after the cool rinse on the conditioner — before any towel contact — section by section, scrunched upward into the curl pattern. Then leave completely undisturbed until fully dry.
What does the cast mean and should I be concerned about it?
A cast is the crunchy or stiff feel that forms around curls as they dry with KILLER.CURLS cream — it is not a problem, it is the hold mechanism working. The cast protects the curl shape as it dries. Once the hair is 100% dry, scrunch gently with dry palms to break the cast and release the definition underneath — the curls will be soft and touchable with the shape still intact. Scrunching before the hair is fully dry will break the curl pattern, not the cast.
Is the Oat Milk in the Wash and Rinse safe for people with gluten or oat sensitivities?
Topical application of Oat-derived ingredients is generally considered low-risk compared to ingestion for most people with oat sensitivities — Hydrolysed Oat Protein used in cosmetics is a different form to dietary oat. However, for clients with confirmed oat or gluten contact allergies rather than dietary intolerances, check with a dermatologist before use. Kevin Murphy does not make a gluten-free claim on the KILLER.CURLS range.
Can I use KILLER.CURLS cream on colour-treated curly hair?
Yes — all three products are sulphate-free, paraben-free, and colour-safe. Colour-treated curly hair is one of the most common client presentations in the curl category and this system is well-suited for it. The 6 Australian Fruit Extracts in KILLER.CURLS cream are rich in antioxidant Vitamin C that provides additional environmental protection for colour-treated strands.
