Why we like it
The Moda Team Review
Stretching a wash goes wrong at both ends at once — oily, flat roots and dry, shapeless lengths — and most people only treat the roots. Perk Up is the dry shampoo we recommend most (no white cast on dark hair, no weight on fine hair) and Soulstruck is the no-rinse mask that solves the other half. Both full size, at a real saving over buying them separately.

The client who books a blowout on Thursday for a Saturday event and asks how to make it last. Perk Up at the roots Friday night, Soulstruck through the ends Saturday morning — that is the two-step we walk her through at the chair, and it is exactly what is in this box. Moda stylist tipApply Perk Up the night before, not the morning after — sprayed into the roots at bedtime, it absorbs oil as it is produced overnight and you wake up with hair that is already fresh. Soulstruck in the morning: warm it between the palms until it melts, then smooth over mid-lengths and ends. Thirty seconds, done.

Questions? We get them.
Good to know.
The questions we hear most about this product. If yours isn’t here, a real stylist will answer.
Ask ModaWill Perk Up leave a white cast on my dark hair?
No. Perk Up uses micro-fine rice starch rather than talc, and it brushes out clean on brunette and black hair — it is the dry shampoo we recommend most for dark hair for exactly that reason. Spray from 15–20 cm away, wait 30 seconds, then massage and brush through.
A mask on dry hair — won't Soulstruck make it look greasy?
No, if you melt it between your palms first and keep it on mid-lengths and ends. Murumuru butter liquefies at skin temperature and absorbs into the fibre rather than coating it, which is why it works on dry hair without buildup. Start with a pea-sized amount on fine hair.
How is Soulstruck different from Soulfood?
No, they are not interchangeable. Soulfood is a rinse-out weekly mask used in the shower on wet hair. Soulstruck is applied to dry hair and not rinsed — a between-wash softener and refresher. Many clients use both: Soulfood on wash day, Soulstruck on the days in between.
How many days can I stretch between washes with these two?
Yes, most clients comfortably get to day three or four. Perk Up handles one to two refreshes at the roots; Soulstruck keeps the lengths soft and smooth throughout. If you need to go beyond day four regularly, Perk Up Plus or Ultra offers stronger oil control for the roots.
Can I take this set on a plane?
No, not in carry-on — Perk Up is a 189 ml aerosol, which exceeds the 100 ml cabin limit and must go in checked baggage. Soulstruck is a 200 ml cream, so it also needs to be checked. For carry-on travel, the Perk Up travel size is available separately.
