What’s inside — and why it’s there
The ingredients worth knowing.
- Salt spray works by drawing moisture out of the fibre as it dries and depositing mineral crystals on the surface, increasing inter-strand friction so hair holds a tousled shape instead of falling flat. Haze uses a micro-fine powder in an aerosol carrier — the particles lodge between strands at the root, adding friction and lift without the film of a hairspray. Box O' Bollox combines a soft wax base with fibrous polymers that stretch between pieces, giving definition and hold that moves and can be reworked through the day.

Use it the way we would.

Ask ModaIs this a men's set?
No, not exclusively — it is a short-to-medium-hair texture set. It is a very easy gift for him, but every product in it is used on textured bobs, pixies, and shags in our chairs just as often. If the cut is short and the finish is matte, this set suits.
Do I need all three products every day?
No. Think of them as a kit: Salty Dog on wash days for body, Haze on any day the roots need lift, Box O' Bollox whenever the shape needs defining. Some days it is one product, some days all three. The point is having the right one for the job.
Will Salty Dog dry my hair out?
Yes, a little — that is how salt spray creates grit. On short, healthy hair it is not an issue. On longer, dry, or colour-treated hair, use it sparingly and follow with a conditioner on wash days. If your hair is already dry, this is the product to skip in the set.
Haze is only 50 ml — how long does that last?
Yes, 50 ml is the standard full size for Haze, and it lasts a long time because the dose is a few short bursts at the root. Used most days, expect two to three months. Powder sprays are concentrated; the small can is not a travel size.
Does the paste wash out, or will it build up?
Yes, it washes out with a normal shampoo — Box O' Bollox is water-dispersible, unlike petroleum-based pomades. If you use it heavily every day, shampoo twice on wash day. Any EVO shampoo removes it cleanly; no clarifier needed.
