Why we like it
The Moda Team Review
Curl products are the most personal in any range — the balm that defines one person's curls weighs another's down — and the only way to know is to try. This pack has the whole method plus two definers with different holds, so by the end you know whether your curl wants Liquid Rollers, Total Recoil, or both layered. It is the pack we send with curly clients before they buy anything full size.
Read full stylist notes
The curly client who asks which definer to buy and whose honest answer is "it depends on your hair, and we won't know until you try." This pack is what we hand her instead of guessing — two washes with each styler, then a text to tell us which one worked, then the full size. EVO is the family-owned Australian brand we trust for no-fluff results — vegan, cruelty-free, and built to do one job well. The Mane Introduction travel packs put the real routine in minis rather than a random assortment. Part of the Holiday 2026 gift collection.

What’s inside — and why it’s there
The ingredients worth knowing.
- Product and mineral buildup coats the curl and stops strands clumping into a defined pattern; Springsclean lifts it with mild surfactants buffered by jojoba and avocado lipids so the curl is reset, not stripped. Baby Got Bounce restores argan and shea lipids plus quinoa protein to the cortex for elasticity. How to use
Use it the way we would.
- Springsclean (first wash, then weekly): Wet hair and scalp, massage, rinse.
- Baby Got Bounce: After cleansing, leave 5 minutes, rinse.
- Liquid Rollers: On soaking-wet hair, rake a small amount through.
- Total Recoil: Layer over or use alone. Scrunch upward. Air-dry or diffuse without touching.
Moda stylist tipBoth definers go on dripping-wet hair, never towel-dried. Rake through, scrunch upward, then hands off. The water spreads the product and clumps the curls; towel-dried hair takes it in patches and frizzes as it dries. Try each definer alone first, then Liquid Rollers under Total Recoil, and you will know your routine by the end of the pack.
Reviews
Questions? We get them.
Good to know.
The questions we hear most about this product. If yours isn’t here, a real stylist will answer.
Ask ModaWhy are there two definers? Do I use both?
Yes, that is the point of the pack. Liquid Rollers has more hold for tighter or frizz-prone curls; Total Recoil is softer for looser patterns. Try each alone for a wash or two, then layer Liquid Rollers under Total Recoil. By the end you know which your curl wants.
There's no regular shampoo or conditioner — is Springsclean my daily wash?
No. Springsclean is a clarifying rinse for the first wash and then weekly — daily use would dry curls out. Baby Got Bounce doubles as the conditioning step. For a daily cleanse between, the Heads Will Roll co-wash in the full-size Ring It In set is the match.
Will these work on 4C coils, or only on waves and looser curls?
Yes, with the right amounts. Coils generally want more Baby Got Bounce and Liquid Rollers, applied in sections on soaking-wet hair, and less Total Recoil. The 30 ml minis will go faster on dense coily hair, so treat this as a two-to-three-wash trial rather than two weeks.
Can I diffuse, or is this an air-dry routine?
Yes, either works. Apply the definers to dripping-wet hair, scrunch, and then either air-dry or diffuse on low heat and low speed. The one rule is the same for both: do not touch the hair until it is completely dry, or the clumps separate into frizz.
Is this the same as the full-size Ring It In set, just smaller?
No, the line-up is slightly different. Ring It In has the Heads Will Roll co-wash, Baby Got Bounce, and Total Recoil in full size. This pack swaps the co-wash for Springsclean and adds Liquid Rollers, so you can compare two definers. Baby Got Bounce and Total Recoil are common to both.
