Why we like it
The Moda Team Review
It is the lowest-risk way we know to try a fashion colour. The deposit is sheer, the base is a conditioning masque, and it releases over four to ten washes - so if you hate it you are a handful of shampoos from it being gone. The warm peach balance also works with the residual yellow in most blondes rather than fighting it, which is where cool pinks tend to go muddy.

What’s inside — and why it’s there
The ingredients worth knowing.
- Four cationic dyes - Basic Blue 99, Basic Red 51, Basic Red 76 and Basic Yellow 57 - positively charged so they bind to the more negatively charged, more porous surface of lightened hair. Deposit only, no oxidant and no lift, which is why Maria Nila specifies levels 7-10. The relatively high proportion of Basic Yellow 57 against a small amount of Basic Blue 99 is what pulls this shade toward apricot, where the same four dyes in a cooler ratio produce Pearl Rose.

How to use
Use it the way we would.
- Shampoo and towel-dry until damp.
- Wearing gloves, comb evenly through mid-lengths and ends, then roots.
- Leave 3-10 minutes. Start at 3 on your first application.
- Rinse until the water runs clear, then follow with conditioner.
Moda stylist tipStrand test from your most porous section - usually the last two inches at the back underneath - not from the top. Porosity decides how much peach you end up with, and it varies enormously across one bleached head. Time the whole head to what the ends need rather than what the healthy top needs, and let the top come out lighter.

Questions? We get them.
Good to know.
The questions we hear most about this product. If yours isn’t here, a real stylist will answer.
Ask ModaWill the peach last as long as a proper salon fashion colour?
No. Maria Nila rates the deposit at four to ten washes, where a salon direct dye runs considerably longer. That is the trade-off you are choosing: no bleach service, no commitment, and a top-up that takes ten minutes in the shower rather than an appointment.
My blonde still has yellow in it. Will this go orange?
No, but it will read warmer. Basic Yellow 57 means this shade leans apricot by design, so residual yellow pushes it further toward peach rather than fighting it. If you want a cooler pink on yellow-toned blonde, tone with Cool Cream first or choose Pearl Rose instead.
I'm a level 7, not a level 10. Will I actually see peach?
Yes, but subtly. Maria Nila formulates this for levels 7 to 10, and a level 7 sits at the bottom of that band - expect a warm cast rather than obvious peach. Leaving it the full ten minutes helps. For clearly visible peach you want a level 9 or 10.
Will it stain my scalp or the skin along my hairline?
Yes, it can, particularly on dry or broken skin. Wear the gloves supplied, apply a barrier cream along the hairline and around the ears, and wipe any skin contact off promptly. Staining that does occur sits on the surface and lifts within a wash or two.
Can I get it softer than the shortest processing time gives?
Yes. Maria Nila's own guidance is to dilute Colour Refresh with an unpigmented masque or conditioner rather than shortening the time. Diluting gives an even, sheer result at a full three to five minutes, where rushing a one-minute application leaves whichever sections you did first noticeably darker.
