Why we like it
The Moda Team Review
Most people scenting their hair are spraying skin perfume on it, and skin perfume is built on a denatured alcohol base that dries the cuticle out over time. Floral Drift carries the same kind of fragrance in a water base with glycerin and aloe, so the fibre gains moisture instead of losing it. It adds no hold and no texture, which means you can use it over a finished style without disturbing the style.

What’s inside — and why it’s there
The ingredients worth knowing.
- Glycerina three-carbon polyol small enough to penetrate the outer cuticle, where it hydrogen-bonds water and holds it in the fibre, raising flexi...
- Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extractinner-leaf polysaccharides act as film-forming humectants, holding atmospheric water at the surface without depositing measurable weight.
- Cetrimonium Chloridea quaternary ammonium compound carrying a positive charge. Damaged and colour-treated hair carries a stronger negative surface charge, so...

How to use
Use it the way we would.
- Hold the bottle at arm's length from dry or towel-dried hair.
- Mist once or twice over the mid-lengths and ends, keeping it off the roots.
- Shake through with your fingers and let it air dry.
Moda stylist tipMist into the air about 25 to 30 cm in front of you and walk your hair through the cloud rather than spraying the hair directly. Point-blank spraying lands a concentrated wet patch that dries into a visible mark and a fragrance hot spot.

Questions? We get them.
Good to know.
The questions we hear most about this product. If yours isn’t here, a real stylist will answer.
Ask ModaWill Floral Drift dry my hair out the way spraying perfume on it does?
No. Skin fragrance is built on a denatured alcohol base that evaporates off the cuticle and takes surface moisture with it. Floral Drift carries its scent in a water base with glycerin and aloe vera, both humectants that hold water at the fibre instead of removing it.
I have fine hair that goes limp instantly. Will this weigh it down?
No. There are no oils, silicones, waxes or film-forming polymers in this formula. It is a water base carrying humectants and a trace conditioning agent, so nothing is left behind that has enough mass to drag fine hair down.
Can I use Floral Drift to stretch second-day hair instead of a dry shampoo?
No. Floral Drift adds moisture and scent but contains no starch or silica, so it absorbs no sebum. If the issue is greasy roots you need Maria Nila Cleansing Powder, which uses rice starch to lift oil. Many people use both — powder at the roots, mist on the lengths.
If I spray this daily, will it build up on my lengths?
No. Build-up comes from waxes, heavy silicones and styling polymers, and this formula has none of them. The water-soluble humectants rinse away completely at the next wash, so daily use does not accumulate on the fibre.
Will a 100 ml bottle last, or will I go through it in a month?
Yes, it lasts. Maria Nila's own direction is a spritz or two per use, and misting into the air rather than at the hair uses less again. At one or two pumps a day a 100 ml bottle runs for months rather than weeks.
