What It Is

Hydro Rush is Amika’s answer to hair that is consistently rough, porous, and thirsty regardless of what conditioner is applied. Most shampoos remove moisture; Hydro Rush actively adds it. Hyaluronic acid draws water into the hair shaft during cleansing and seals it in, while sea buckthorn conditions the surface. The result is a shampoo step that leaves hair noticeably more supple and soft — not just clean.

Ideal for dry, coarse, colour-treated, or environmentally stressed hair. Colour-safe, sulphate-free, vegan, B-Corp certified.

Most moisturising shampoos coat the hair surface with conditioning agents. Hydro Rush uses hyaluronic acid to actively draw moisture into the hair shaft and seal it in — a fundamentally different approach that delivers deeper, more lasting hydration.
Hydro Rush is designed for dry, medium to thick hair. Fine hair can use it if dryness is the primary concern, but rinse quickly and don’t use the Leave-In. For fine hair wanting everyday softness without hydration intensity, Normcore is better matched.
Yes — sulphate-free and gentle enough for daily use. The hyaluronic acid benefit compounds with each application so frequent washers may notice more improvement over time.
Yes — colour-safe and sulphate-free. Particularly beneficial for colour-treated hair that has become porous and dry from chemical processing.
The shampoo alone will deliver hydration benefit. The system — shampoo, conditioner, and weekly mask — compounds the results significantly. For very dry hair, adding the Leave-In post-wash extends the moisture through the day.
