Davines formulates it for three uses: as a leave-in conditioner applied to dry hair ends, as an everyday body moisturiser applied to damp skin, and as a gentle makeup remover for the face. The light Shea Butter texture works across all three applications without leaving a heavy residue.
How is the Authentic Moisturizing Balm different from the Authentic Replenishing Butter?
The Balm is lighter — same Safflower Oil and Shea Butter ingredients but at a lower concentration, giving it a faster-absorbing, less dense texture. The Butter is the intensive option for very dry skin and hair that needs richer nourishment. The Balm is the everyday option for normal-to-dry skin and hair ends that need regular but not intensive moisture.
Can the Authentic Moisturizing Balm be used on fine hair?
Yes, more so than the Butter — the lighter concentration makes it manageable on fine hair when applied sparingly through ends only. Warm between your palms first and use a very small amount. Keep it away from the root zone to avoid any flatness at the root.
Is the Authentic Moisturizing Balm safe for use around eyes as a makeup remover?
