The product name on the davines.com page says 7–15 but 7 is the right starting point for most clients — build up only if the hair still looks reactive after one blow-dry. Comb through with a wide-tooth comb before the blow-dry for even distribution.

The Milk is lighter and faster-absorbing — designed for fine to medium frizzy hair needing humidity protection without weight. The Serum is richer and more intensive, built for thick, coarse or very frizzy hair that needs stronger moisture-locking and longer frizz resistance. If the Milk isn't holding the smooth through the day, the Serum is the right upgrade.
Does Davines LOVE SMOOTHING Essential Haircare Serum provide heat protection for blow-drying?
The Serum provides heat protection up to 230°C. Apply to towel-blotted damp hair before blow-drying and do not rinse out. The heat protection covers the temperature range of most home hair dryers and activates alongside the anti-frizz barrier during the blow-dry.
