Yes — if applied correctly. The frizz-as-it-dries problem is usually caused by touching the hair during drying or by humidity re-entering the cuticle before the curl is fully set. Shea Butter in Killer Twirls seals the cuticle during drying to block humidity. Apply to soaking wet hair, scrunch once, and do not touch it until completely dry.
Can I diffuse with Killer Twirls or is it strictly for air-drying?
Killer Twirls can be diffused on low heat with the diffuser held still over curl sections without moving — but it is formulated for air-dry results. If you diffuse regularly and want more structured hold, Killer Curls cream is better matched. Twirls gives a softer result than most diffuse clients prefer for blow-dry days.
Should I use Killer Twirls or Killer Curls cream?
Killer Twirls: air-dry, soft hold, effortless definition for all curl types. Killer Curls cream: more structured hold, better for diffused styles or denser curl types that need more definition control. You can layer both — Twirls first for moisture, Killer Curls cream over the top for structure.
How much Killer Twirls should I use for shoulder-length hair?
For fine wavy hair: a 10 cent coin amount, worked through the lengths. For medium curly hair: a 50 cent coin amount in sections. For thick coily hair: a 50 cent amount per section, worked through the whole head. Apply to soaking wet hair — the water helps distribute without over-loading.
Is Killer Twirls colour-safe for bleached or highlighted curls?
Yes — colour-safe and sulphate-free. For bleached curls that are very dry, pair it with Killer Curls Rinse and consider adding the Killer Curls Masque weekly for a deeper moisture reset the crème then builds on.
