Ask ModaDo I apply RICA Curl Shaping Cream to wet or dry hair?
Soaking wet. Apply section by section on completely wet hair immediately after rinsing your conditioner. The water on the hair carries the cream into each individual curl during application. Towel-blotting first removes the carrier that distributes the product — you get uneven coverage and less definition.
Can I use RICA Curl Shaping Cream on fine wavy hair?
Yes — use sparingly on fine wavy hair, applying only through the mid-lengths and ends to avoid weighing down the root. For very fine waves, start with a smaller amount than you think you need and build after the first dry.
Should I diffuse or air-dry after using RICA Curl Shaping Cream?
Both work. Air-drying gives the softest, most natural result. Diffusing on low-to-medium heat can enhance definition and speed up drying without disturbing the curl pattern the cream is setting. Either way, avoid touching the hair while it dries.
Can I layer RICA Curl Enhancing Serum on top of the Curl Shaping Cream?
Yes — the Curl Enhancing Serum is the natural next step. Apply the Curl Shaping Cream first for hold and shape, then add a small amount of the serum through the ends for shine and additional definition. Both are available at modasalon.ca.
How is RICA Curl Shaping Cream different from RICA Curl Enhancing Serum?
The Curl Shaping Cream is the base styling layer — it provides hold, shape and frizz control applied to soaking wet hair before drying. The Curl Enhancing Serum is a lighter finishing step for shine and definition added on top of the cream, or used alone between washes for a quick definition refresh.
