Ask ModaWhat is the difference between RICA Modeling Paste and RICA Unique Matt Clay?
Both deliver a matte finish, but the Modeling Paste is more flexible and suitable for short to medium lengths with everyday reworkable hold. The Unique Matt Clay has stronger, more decisive hold for short cuts that need to stay exactly where you put them. Paste is for workability; clay is for commitment.
Can I use RICA Modeling Paste on damp hair?
It performs best on dry hair where the matte effect is fully expressed. On damp hair the paste distributes differently and the hold is reduced. For blow-dry prep, use the Thickening Cream or Plumping Mousse before drying, then apply the paste once the style is completely dry.
How long does RICA Modeling Paste hold throughout the day?
The hold is flexible rather than firm, so the style stays but can be reshaped with the hands throughout the day. The Rica Line Complex with humidity-resistance actives supports longevity in normal conditions. In very high humidity, a light finish with Perfect Finishing Spray will extend the hold.
Is RICA Modeling Paste suitable for women’s hairstyles, or is it mainly for men?
It works for any short to medium style regardless of gender — pixie cuts, textured bobs, layered cuts, and any style where matte definition is the goal. The non-greasy, flexible formula is as appropriate for a textured pixie as it is for a short men’s cut.
Does RICA Modeling Paste wash out easily?
Yes — the water-soluble formula rinses out cleanly with your regular shampoo. No residue build-up with daily use.
