No. NOUNOU Shampoo is compatible with in-salon bond-building treatments. Its wheat proteins and keratin work alongside those bonds rather than disrupting them. Using NOUNOU at home extends and supports the structural work your stylist started in the chair.
I have fine highlighted hair. Will a nourishing shampoo make it feel heavy and flat?
No. NOUNOU Shampoo is protein-forward, not moisture-heavy. It repairs the hair fibre without coating it the way silicone-based nourishing shampoos do. Fine highlighted hair typically responds well — you get the repair without the weight.
The 250ml is $47 and the 1000ml is $113. Is the litre size worth it for everyday shampoo?
Yes, if NOUNOU is your daily shampoo. The 1000ml works out to roughly 30% less per wash. We sell a lot of the litre to clients committed to the NOUNOU routine — it's the most economical way to maintain consistent protein repair.
NOUNOU Shampoo doesn't lather much. Is it actually cleaning properly?
Yes. NOUNOU Shampoo is sulfate-free, which means less lather than conventional shampoos — but lather is not a measure of cleansing ability. The formula removes product build-up, oils, and environmental residue effectively. Low foam is by design to protect colour and reduce scalp irritation.
Can I use NOUNOU Shampoo every day, or will daily protein cause buildup or stiffness?
Yes, it's safe for daily use on processed hair. The wheat protein concentration is calibrated for frequent washing — it builds cumulatively without the stiffness or brittleness that can occur with heavy protein treatments used too often.
