Yes — the Memory Copolymers provide a long-lasting flexible hold designed to maintain the style through the day while remaining reworkable. For styles that need to be completely locked in place, Session Spray is the stronger option. For styles that can move and be touched, Session Spray Flex holds all day without the firmness.
Is Session Spray Flex the same as Session Spray, just lighter?
No — they use different hold technologies. Session Spray uses moulding resins for firm hold. Session Spray Flex uses Memory Copolymers, which selectively bind to the hair for a different, more flexible hold mechanism. The Flex also has a unique Elasticity Blend that the original does not. Same humidity resistance and flake-free finish; genuinely different hold character.
Will Session Spray Flex hold in humidity?
Yes — Kevin Murphy confirms Session Spray Flex has the same anti-humectant properties as Session Spray. The flexible hold does not mean compromised humidity resistance. It is designed for clients who want all the environmental protection of a strong spray with a lighter, more natural-looking hold result.
Is Session Spray Flex suitable for fine hair?
Yes — the flash-drying, nearly-undetectable formula is particularly well suited to fine hair. The Memory Copolymers provide hold without coating the hair, and the formula dries so quickly that it does not add any perceptible weight. Spray from a distance in light passes and it holds fine hair without flattening it.
Can Session Spray Flex be layered with other styling products?
Yes — it is designed as the final finishing step over any styling product. Apply your texture products, crèmes or mousses first, style, then spray Session Spray Flex as the last step. The Memory Copolymers seal the style without interfering with the product underneath.
