Leave-in — apply to damp mid-lengths and ends before blow-drying and do not rinse. The Fortifying Botanical Shield activates with heat and should be in place on the hair before the blowdryer makes contact.
What's the difference between the Sheer Glaze and the Instant Bonding Glow?
The Sheer Glaze is a leave-in used before blow-drying — it focuses on heat protection, UV defence, blowdry longevity, and visible shine. The Instant Bonding Glow is a rinse-out serum used in the shower — it focuses on bond repair and luminosity at every wash. Both are in the HOG system; many clients use the Bonding Glow in the shower and the Sheer Glaze before drying.
Will the Sheer Glaze weigh down fine blonde hair?
No — it's a lightweight fluid, not a cream or serum. The Fortifying Botanical Shield film is extremely fine and does not build up on the hair. Use a very small amount on fine hair — too much product anywhere on fine hair will affect texture, but the Glaze itself is not a heavy formula.
Does the heat protection in the Sheer Glaze actually reach 230°C?
Yes — 230°C / 450°F is the validated maximum temperature the Fortifying Botanical Shield can protect against. That covers the full range of blowdryers and flat irons used at home. The protection is only active when the product has been applied to damp hair before heat contact — not spritzed on mid-styling.
Does the Sheer Glaze help with colour fading between appointments?
Yes — the Fortifying Botanical Shield includes UV protection that shields the hair from the UV exposure that accelerates colour fading. Combined with the heat protection, it reduces two of the main environmental causes of tone shift between colour appointments.
