This is the current reformulated formula — Regenerative Organic Certified™ White Hibiscus Extract. The original Red Celery Extract formula has been phased out as Davines completed the Essential Haircare reformulation. The formula in this 1000ml Pro Duo is identical to the current 250ml retail sizes.
What changed in the new DEDE formula?
The hero ingredient changed from Red Celery Extract (sourced from Turin, Italy) to Regenerative Organic Certified™ White Hibiscus Extract (sourced from Mrs. Sanou Kuina at the Ben Dia association, Koro, Burkina Faso). The new formula adds antioxidant protection against oxidative damage — meaningful for a daily-use system where the hair is continuously exposed to heat, UV, and environment. The lightweight, gentle daily character of DEDE remains the same.
What is the 50% more manageable hair result based on?
It is an instrumental test on hair strands using the full DEDE system — Shampoo, Conditioner, and Leave-In Conditioner — versus untreated hair. The result is a system claim, not a single-product claim. Adding the DEDE Leave-In on towel-dried hair is the third step that completes the 50% improvement.
Is DEDE suitable for fine hair in 1000ml size?
Yes — DEDE is well-suited to fine hair precisely because it is lightweight throughout. Apply conditioner mid-lengths to ends only (not at the root), leave 30 seconds, rinse with cool water. The 1000ml size does not change the formula or the application — the same small amount applies as the 250ml.
Do I need the DEDE Leave-In as well, or is the shampoo and conditioner enough?
The shampoo and conditioner are a complete wash routine on their own. The DEDE Leave-In adds heat protection to 230°C / 446°F and the third component of the 50% more manageable result. For clients who blow-dry or heat-style daily, adding the leave-in makes a visible difference in how finished the hair looks after styling.
