Ask ModaIs the formula in the 1000ml the same as the 250ml retail sizes?
Yes — Davines uses the same formula across all sizes. The only difference is the format. The 1000ml is the same Chelating Shampoo and Rich Conditioner you get in the retail 250ml, in a size designed for consistent daily use without running out.
What's the difference between WITH PUMPS and NO PUMPS?
The WITH PUMPS variant includes pump dispensers for both 1000ml bottles. NO PUMPS is for clients who prefer to pour, already have pumps from a previous order, or are picking up for professional use. Pumps make daily use significantly more convenient at that size — we usually recommend WITH PUMPS for home use.
Should I try HOG in 250ml before ordering the 1000ml duo?
Yes — we recommend the 250ml retail sizes or one of the HOG bundles as a starting point if you've never used the system. The 1000ml duo is designed for clients who already know HOG works for their hair and want better value per wash at a committed size.
Does the Rich Conditioner in this duo contain Vitamin A?
Yes — the Rich Conditioner (in all sizes) contains Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A). If you're using other Vitamin A products daily — retinol serums, Vitamin A supplements, or certain sunscreens — consider your total intake. For most people, the amount in a hair conditioner is not a concern, but Davines includes the advisory out of transparency.
What else should I add to the HOG routine beyond the Shampoo and Conditioner?
The Shampoo and Rich Conditioner are the HOG base. The next additions depend on your hair: HOG Sheer Glaze if you blowdry regularly (leave-in heat protection); HOG Instant Bonding Glow for fine hair wanting extra luminosity and bond repair inside the shower; HOG Intense Treatment once a week when blonde needs deeper repair.
