The Rich Conditioner is the everyday conditioning step — used every wash to soften, add shine and support the hair's structure between colour appointments. The Intense Treatment is a weekly or as-needed deep repair mask with a longer leave-on time (5–10 minutes) and a higher concentration of Biacidic Bond Complex. They work together — Intense Treatment first when hair needs it, Rich Conditioner after to seal and soften.
Does this conditioner contain silicones?
No — the formula is completely silicone-free. All the softening and smoothing is done by Baobab Extract, Babassu Seed Oil and Sunflower Seed Oil, which condition the hair without coating it. This means no build-up and no flat, weighed-down finish — just soft, luminous blonde.
How should I use Davines Heart of Glass Rich Conditioner?
Apply Heart of Glass Rich Conditioner from mid-lengths to ends after shampooing. Comb through with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb, leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse well. The hair should feel soft and supported, not coated or heavy. Use every wash as part of your regular blonde routine.
What should I pair with Davines Heart of Glass Rich Conditioner?
Start with Heart of Glass Shampoo and Rich Conditioner as your everyday blonde routine. Add the Instant Bonding Glow Serum for shine and frizz control on styling days. When blonde hair feels fragile or overly porous, use the Intense Treatment once a week in place of the conditioner, or alongside it for extra support.
Why does the HOG Rich Conditioner contain Vitamin A, and should I be concerned?
The Rich Conditioner contains Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), which Davines includes for its hair nourishment properties. Health Canada recommends considering total daily Vitamin A intake across all products — if you're using other Vitamin A-containing skincare, sunscreen, or supplements, factor that in. For most people, occasional use is not a concern; daily use warrants a quick check of other Vitamin A sources in your routine.
