How to use
Use it the way we would.
- Shampoo and towel-dry to damp.
- Apply through mid-lengths and ends first, then the rest, wearing gloves.
- Leave 2–5 minutes for a refresh, longer for a stronger correction.
- Rinse thoroughly. Use in place of your conditioner as often as your tone needs.
Moda stylist tipPorous ends grab pigment faster than the mid-lengths, so start the application mid-shaft and pull through to the ends last. And set a timer — 2 to 5 minutes refreshes, longer corrects. Guesswork is how you end up darker than you wanted.

Ask ModaWill Cool Brown make my brown hair darker?
No, not the way a box dye does. It deposits a cool tonal pigment, not depth, so it corrects warmth and orange rather than darkening. Left on much longer than directed it can deepen slightly on porous ends — set a timer to control it.
How is this different from the Caramel and Chestnut shades?
Cool Brown does the opposite job. Caramel and Chestnut add warmth and richness; Cool Brown removes warmth and neutralises orange. Choose Cool Brown if your brunette goes brassy as it fades, and the warm shades if your colour goes flat or dull instead.
Can I use it instead of my regular conditioner?
Yes. Use it in place of your conditioner as often as your tone needs — every wash for strong correction, every few washes for maintenance. It conditions as it tones, so you're not skipping a step.
Will it stain my hands or shower?
Yes, it can — it's a real depositing pigment. Wear gloves, rinse the shower after use, and keep it off skin. The trade-off is the same pigment strength your stylist relies on in the colour room.
I'm a brunette going grey — will it work on my greys?
Partly. It can soften and cool brassy or yellowing greys blended into brown, but it won't fully cover white hair the way permanent colour does. For mostly grey hair wanting cool maintenance, Light Beige may suit better — ask your stylist.
