Why we like it

The Moda Team Review

Damaged hair is most vulnerable after the wash — combed wet, dried with heat, out in the sun — and rinse-out repair stops working the moment it is rinsed. This set pairs the Ritual Salvation wash duo with Happy Campers, a leave-in that carries quinoa, panthenol, and UV protection into the day. It is the routine for regularly coloured hair that has gone rough and fragile but is not yet snapping.

Read full stylist notes

The client with fine, regularly highlighted hair whose colour fades in three weeks and whose ends feel rough by the second week. She has avoided repair lines because they flatten her hair. Ritual Salvation is light enough, and the leave-in's UV filters are what finally slow the fade. EVO is the family-owned Australian brand we trust for no-fluff results — vegan, cruelty-free, and built to do one job well. Ritual Salvation is the repair line for colour-treated hair that strengthens without heaviness. Part of the Holiday 2026 gift collection.

What’s inside — and why it’s there

The ingredients worth knowing.

  • Chemical processing leaves gaps in the keratin structure and raises cuticle porosity, which is why coloured hair fades fast and breaks on the comb. Hydrolysed quinoa is small enough to penetrate the cortex and fill those gaps, restoring tensile strength; panthenol penetrates the shaft, binds water, and lubricates the surface so wet detangling does not stretch the fibre past its limit. Happy Campers delivers the same actives as a leave-in film and adds UV filters, addressing the photo-oxidation that fades colour and roughens the cuticle after the hair is dry.

How to use

Use it the way we would.

  1. Ritual Salvation Shampoo: Wet hair, lather, rinse thoroughly.
  2. Ritual Salvation Conditioner: Mid-lengths to ends, comb through, 2 minutes, rinse.
  3. Happy Campers: Small amount on damp mid-lengths and ends. Do not rinse.

Moda stylist tipDetangle with a wide-tooth comb while the conditioner is still in, never on rinsed hair. Damaged hair stretches most when wet, and the conditioner's slip is what stops the comb from tearing it. Rinse, blot, then Happy Campers on damp mid-lengths and ends before a brush or dryer touches the hair.

Questions? We get them.

Good to know.

The questions we hear most about this product. If yours isn’t here, a real stylist will answer.

Ask Moda
Is Happy Campers a heat protectant?

No, not primarily — it is a wearable repair treatment with UV protection. It reduces breakage and protects colour from sun, but for blow-drying or ironing, add EVO Icon Welder on top. Happy Campers first on damp hair, Icon Welder second, then heat.

Will a protein-based routine make my fine hair stiff?

No. Ritual Salvation uses hydrolysed quinoa at a daily-maintenance level balanced with panthenol for moisture, so it strengthens without the stiffness of an intensive protein mask. It is one of the few repair lines we can recommend for fine hair without a weight caveat.

Last year's Ritual Salvation trio had the Mane Attention treatment. Why the change?

Yes, EVO changed the 2026 set. The shampoo and conditioner are the same; the weekly Mane Attention treatment has been replaced by the Happy Campers leave-in, shifting the set from intensive repair to daily protection. Mane Attention is still available separately and layers into this routine once a week.

My balayage fades fast. Will this actually help?

Yes. Colour fades through two routes — washing it out and sun breaking it down. The sulphate-free shampoo and quinoa protein address the first by cleansing gently and sealing the cuticle; Happy Campers' UV filters address the second. Together they measurably extend the time between toning visits.

Can I use this every wash, or only a few times a week?

Yes, every wash. All three are formulated for daily use and do not build up. If your hair ever feels heavy, reduce the amount of Happy Campers rather than skipping the conditioner — the slip from the conditioner is what protects wet hair from breaking on the comb.
