The ingredients worth knowing.
- Fine hair has a small diameter and low stiffness, so any heavy conditioning deposit collapses it. Gluttony's low-weight cationic polymers add stiffness to the fibre surface instead of coating it; Bride of Gluttony conditions with minimal lipid load. Root Canal's VP/VA film-former mechanically holds the dried root angle; Shape Vixen's lighter polymers do the same through the mid-lengths, adding body where fine hair usually hangs limp. Hydrolysed quinoa reinforces the fibre throughout without adding weight.

Ask ModaWhat does Shape Vixen do that Root Canal doesn't?
Yes, they are different jobs. Root Canal lifts the root only. Shape Vixen is a lotion for damp mid-lengths that gives fine hair body all the way down, so it swings rather than hangs. Fine hair that is flat at the root needs Root Canal; fine hair that is limp through the lengths needs Shape Vixen. Most fine hair is both.
Is Root Canal an aerosol? Can it go in my carry-on?
Yes to carry-on. The 50 ml Root Canal is a pump spray, not an aerosol, and it is well under the 100 ml cabin limit. All four products in the pack go through security in a standard liquids bag.
How many washes will I get from the 30 ml shampoo on fine hair?
Yes, more than you would think — fine hair needs a coin-sized amount, so 30 ml stretches to six or seven washes. The conditioner lasts longer still because it only goes on the ends. Two weeks is a fair trial from this pack.
Will this work if I air-dry?
No, not to its full potential. Root Canal sets the root in whatever position it dries in, and air-drying lets gravity decide. Shape Vixen still adds body through the lengths without heat. If you air-dry, flip your head upside down for the first few minutes and you will get most of the lift.
Does the full-size Vanity Volume set include Shape Vixen?
No. The Vanity Volume is the shampoo, conditioner, and Root Canal in full size. If Shape Vixen turns out to be the step that makes the difference for your hair, it is available on its own in full size to add alongside.
