Moda stylist tipThe upward dryer-nozzle blast at the root is the step most clients skip — it's what sets the lift before the downward smoothing motion. Without it, the spray adds some texture but not the structural hold that makes the technique work.

Ask ModaWhat's the difference between Root Lift Spray and Thickening Blow-Dry Cream?
Root Lift is a targeted spray for the root zone only. The Cream works through all the lengths for overall thickening. Use Root Lift for crown-specific flatness; use both together for maximum volume.
Does it work without a blow-dryer?
Not as effectively — the root-lift polymers need heat to activate. For air-dry volume at the roots, the Texturizing Foam is a better option.
How do I apply it for maximum lift?
Work in 1-inch sections at the root, spray from 10cm away, then use the blow-dryer nozzle angled upward at the root before smoothing down the shaft.
Will it make the roots feel stiff?
No — the lift is flexible and natural. Stiffness is a sign of over-application; one short spray per section is enough.
