The ingredients worth knowing.
- Four cationic dyes - Basic Blue 99, Basic Brown 17, Basic Red 76 and Basic Yellow 57 - positively charged and binding to the negatively charged, porous surface of lightened hair. Deposit only, no oxidant, no lift. Freshly bleached hair is at the most porous and most negatively charged state it will ever reach, so uptake is fastest in the days right after a service and slows as the cuticle recovers over the following weeks.

Moda stylist tipOn hair lightened within the last week, start at three minutes and not a second longer, even if you want full beige. Freshly bleached hair is at peak porosity and takes this pigment far faster than the same hair will in a month. Once it has gone too deep there is no pulling it back - you simply wait out the washes. Build the tone over two applications rather than chasing it in one.

Ask ModaHow much darker will Beige Blonde actually make me?
Yes, it deepens, but by roughly half a level to a level at most. Basic Brown 17 supplies a soft drop in brightness rather than a change of shade. At three minutes the effect is a softening; at ten minutes on porous hair it is closer to a full level.
Does this cancel yellow the way a purple shampoo does?
Yes, but less aggressively. Basic Blue 99 neutralises orange rather than the violet-on-yellow action of a purple shampoo, and the brown pigment alongside it deepens rather than brightens. For pure yellow cancelling at your current level, Cool Cream or Pearl Silver are more direct.
Can I use this every wash without my blonde getting progressively darker?
No, not at full time. Because this shade contains a deepening pigment, frequent long applications will stack in porous sections. Use it every second or third wash, or dilute it with conditioner if you want it weekly. Cool Cream is the better choice for high-frequency toning.
What is the real difference between this and Cool Cream?
Yes, they both cool - the difference is level. Cool Cream tones brass and leaves your brightness where it is. Beige Blonde adds Basic Brown 17 and takes the brightness down as it cools. Choose by whether your blonde is too warm or too bright.
My mid-lengths are banded and porous from repeated lightening. Will it grab unevenly?
Yes, banding will show, because cationic pigment binds hardest where the cuticle is most open. Run conditioner through the porous bands for two minutes and rinse lightly before applying - the conditioning agents partly occupy those sites and even out the uptake considerably.
