Why we like it
The Moda Team Review
Blonde is maintained between appointments, not just in the chair. We tone with Fabuloso in our own colour room, and this is the take-home version of that system — shampoo and conditioner for wash day, a mist for the midweek warm-up, and a comb so the pigment goes on evenly instead of patchy. Everything a blonde needs for the six weeks between visits.

The platinum client who books every six weeks and, by week four, texts to ask if she can come in early because it has "gone yellow." She does not need an earlier appointment — she needs the mist on a Wednesday and the toning wash on the weekend. This is the set that stops the week-four text. EVO is the family-owned Australian brand we trust for no-fluff results — vegan, cruelty-free, and built to do one job well. Fabuloso is the colour-depositing line we use in our own colour room, including for blonde toning. Part of the Holiday 2026 gift collection.

How to use
Use it the way we would.
- Toning Shampoo: Wet hair, lather, leave 1–3 minutes, rinse. 1–2x per week.
- Toning Conditioner: Mid-lengths to ends, comb through, leave 3–5 minutes, rinse.
- Toning Mist: Between washes, mist over damp or dry hair, comb through. Do not rinse.
Moda stylist tipAlternate, do not stack. Toning shampoo and conditioner 1–2 times a week, a moisturising shampoo on the other days — violet pigment is cumulative and daily use on very light blonde builds to lilac. Comb the conditioner through with the shower comb so the ends do not take more pigment than the mid-lengths. Save the mist for midweek when tone starts to warm.

Questions? We get them.
Good to know.
The questions we hear most about this product. If yours isn’t here, a real stylist will answer.
Ask ModaIs the Toning Mist the same as the shampoo in spray form?
No. The mist is a leave-in with a lower dose of violet pigment, designed to correct tone on damp or dry hair between washes without rinsing. The shampoo carries more pigment and works with contact time in the shower. Use the mist midweek, the shampoo on wash day.
Will this stain my shower, towels, or hands?
Yes, it can if left to sit. Fabuloso Platinum Blonde carries real direct dye, so rinse the shower straight away, use a dark towel on wash day, and wash your hands after applying the conditioner. It does not stain porcelain or skin permanently, but rinse promptly.
My ends go purple but my roots stay yellow — what am I doing wrong?
No, nothing is wrong with the product — it is distribution. Porous ends absorb pigment faster than healthier roots. Apply the conditioner to squeezed-dry hair, comb it through with the included shower comb from root to end, and shorten the contact time on the ends if they still take more.
How is this different from the Fabuloso Best of Blonde trio you sold last year?
Yes, it is the same three products — Toning Shampoo, Toning Conditioner, and Toning Mist — now in EVO's 2026 holiday packaging with a shower comb added. If you loved the trio, this is the restock with a useful extra.
I just had my blonde toned in the salon. When should I start using this?
No need on the first wash or two — a fresh salon toner has nothing to correct yet. Start the toning shampoo and conditioner around week two, once a week, and reach for the mist when you first notice warmth creeping in. Over-toning fresh blonde is the most common mistake we see.
