Ask ModaHow long do I leave Top Coat + Tone Purple on?
5–10 minutes depending on how much toning you want and your hair's porosity. Do a test strand the first time — apply to a section at the back, leave for 5 minutes, rinse, and blow dry to see the result. More porous or very brassy hair may need less time to achieve the desired tone.
Do I need to condition after Top Coat + Tone Purple?
Conditioning is optional — the Camelina Seed Oil, Olive Oil, and Oat Milk in the formula condition as the toner processes, leaving hair soft without a separate conditioner step. If your hair is very dry, a light conditioner after rinsing is fine.
How long does the toning last?
Shine and toning last up to 8 washes. Frequency of use depends on how quickly your hair returns to brassiness — most clients use it every 1–3 washes.
What is the difference between Top Coat + Tone Purple and Strength Cure Best Blonde Shampoo?
Best Blonde Shampoo tones and strengthens in a daily shampoo format — used as a cleanser 1–3 times per week. Top Coat + Tone Purple is an at-home gloss treatment applied after shampooing for a more targeted, higher-pigment toning result. Some clients use both; others prefer one or the other.
Which Top Coat + Tone shade should I choose?
Purple for yellow warmth in blonde, lightened, or grey hair. Blue for orange or copper warmth in brunette or dark blonde hair. Sheer Clear for any hair colour that just wants shine and softness without tonal shift.
