Ask ModaIs Happy Campers a heat protectant, a leave-in conditioner, or a repair treatment?
All three. It provides heat protection up to approximately 230°C, lightweight conditioning and detangling, and protein-based repair support between wash days. This is why it is one of our most consistent recommendations — it does not require you to use three separate products to cover those concerns.
Will Happy Campers leave my hair feeling heavy or greasy?
No — it is formulated specifically to be lightweight. Fine and colour-treated hair both respond well to it. The key is using the right amount: a few sprays or a small amount worked through mid-lengths and ends, not drenching the hair from root to tip.
Can I use Happy Campers on dry hair as well as damp hair?
Yes. On damp hair before blow-drying it works as a heat protectant and leave-in treatment. On dry hair, a light mist through the lengths smooths frizz and adds a soft, polished finish without re-wetting. It does not leave the hair feeling sticky or coated in either application.
Do I need to use Happy Campers if I am already on the Ritual Salvation Shampoo and Conditioner?
You do not have to — but it significantly extends the benefit. The shampoo and conditioner build repair on wash days. Happy Campers keeps that going on the days in between. It also adds heat protection that the wash routine does not provide, which matters if you blow-dry or use heat tools.
What is the difference between the 50 ml and the 200 ml?
The formula is identical. The 50 ml is the trial size — ideal for a first use or travel. The 200 ml is the everyday size. If you use Happy Campers every day before blow-drying, the 200 ml is significantly better value per application.
