Short to medium hair — crops, pixie cuts, bobs, and medium layers. It is worked section by section for deliberate definition, which is most effective on shorter styles where the texture is part of the shape.
Does Mess Up Paste have shine or a matte finish?
Matte finish — it creates definition and separation without any gloss or shine. For a more polished look on shorter styles, finish with a light mist of Soft Finish Hairspray.
How much Mess Up Paste should I use?
Start with a very small amount — about the size of a pea — warmed between palms before applying. Build if needed. It is easier to add more than to undo over-application.
Is Mess Up Texture Paste safe for colour-treated hair?
Yes — formulated for colour-treated hair with the Antifade Complex® for colour protection. 100% vegan and sulfate-free.
Do I apply Mess Up Paste to wet or dry hair?
Apply to dry hair — it is a styling paste used after the hair is styled and dried. Working it into wet hair dilutes the formula and reduces the definition result.
