Anyone with brunette, chestnut, dark blonde, or highlighted hair that has shifted warm or coppery since their last appointment. Blue cancels orange on the colour wheel — it refreshes the cool depth of brunette colour and softens warmth in dark blonde.
How long do I leave Top Coat + Tone Blue on?
5–10 minutes. Do a test strand first to see how much toning you get at 5 minutes vs 10 minutes on your hair. More porous hair tones more quickly.
Is Top Coat + Tone Blue safe for colour-treated hair?
Yes — formulated for colour-treated hair with the Antifade Complex® for colour protection. The conditioning base of Camelina Oil, Olive Oil, and Oat Milk nourishes hair during processing.
How often should I use Top Coat + Tone Blue?
As needed — typically every 3–8 washes depending on how quickly warmth returns and your personal preference. Use it when you notice the colour looking more warm or coppery than you'd like.
What do I use Top Coat + Tone Blue with?
Apply after shampooing with your regular Pureology shampoo and rinsing. After rinsing out the Top Coat, follow with the Color Fanatic Multi-Tasking Leave-In Spray for heat protection, detangling, and ongoing colour care.
