Yes — it is lightweight and non-coating. Apply to mid-lengths and ends only, avoid the root area, and rinse thoroughly. The Opuntia oil base is lightweight enough that it softens without adding the weight that heavier conditioners deposit.
How long should I leave RICA Opuntia Oil Conditioner on before rinsing?
One to two minutes is enough for the formula to deposit and soften. The conditioner works quickly — a longer leave-in on fine hair may lead to over-conditioning and a heavy feel. For thicker or coarser hair, two to three minutes gives noticeably better detangling.
Can I use RICA Opuntia Oil Conditioner as a leave-in?
It is formulated as a rinse-out conditioner. For a leave-in product in the Opuntia line, the DD Haircream is designed specifically for no-rinse application — it has the same hero ingredient with a formula optimised for leave-in use.
Can I use RICA Opuntia Oil Conditioner with a different shampoo?
Yes — the Opuntia Oil Conditioner works with any shampoo. Pairing it with the matching Low Shampoo gives the most consistent softness-and-shine result across both steps, but the conditioner works well on its own as a standalone conditioner step.
Is the 1000ml RICA Opuntia Oil Conditioner the same formula as the 200ml?
Yes — same formula, larger format. The 1000ml is for frequent users and households where the conditioner goes quickly. The cost per use on the litre is significantly better.
